The Logistics Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement, storage, and distribution of materials. The role ensures efficient supply chain operations, cost control, timely deliveries, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Support

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily logistics operations

• Schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups according to client requirements

• Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles, drivers, and yard space

• Coordinate activities of drivers, logistics staff, and operations teams

Data & Reporting

• Prepare and verify inventory documents

• Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records in logistics systems

• Assist in billing, and reconciliation of logistics services

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports

• Report operational challenges and recommend improvements

Process Improvement

• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and service enhancement.

• Assist in reviewing and enhancing operational workflows and standard procedures.

Customer Service

• Support communication with clients & stakeholders regarding delivery schedules, shipment updates, and logistics-related inquiries.

• Help resolve issues related to delivery delays, discrepancies, and customer concerns.
