Job Description:

• Evaluates patients referred for physical therapy and develops individualized treatment goals and objectives based on their condition and functional needs.
• Formulates and implements organized treatment programs appropriate to the patient's diagnosis and as prescribed by the Rehabilitation Department physician.
• Provides comprehensive before- and after-care for all patients undergoing treatment.
• Monitors, records, and reports patients' symptoms, progress, and changes in condition to ensure appropriate and timely intervention.
• Prepares and maintains accurate clinical documentation, including Initial Evaluation (IE), Re-evaluation (RE), Progress, and Discharge Notes.
• Coordinates with members of the rehabilitation team and other healthcare personnel to ensure comprehensive and quality patient care.
• Participates in departmental meetings, conferences, research activities, and projects aimed at improving patient care and rehabilitation services.
• Performs proper inventory and before- and after-care of assigned special-duty areas and equipment, including inventory, hydrotherapy, machines, plinths and linen, supplies, and patient charting.
• Identifies and promptly reports defective, damaged, or missing equipment and supplies to the immediate supervisor.
• Trains, guides, and supervises interns in proper patient handling and clinical procedures.
• Assesses and evaluates interns' knowledge, skills, and clinical performance throughout their rotation.
• Maintains cleanliness, orderliness, and proper organization of the staff room and assigned work areas.
