Job summary

Relief International Philippines seeks a Philippine-licensed lawyer to deliver timely, practical legal support across regulatory, employment, contracts, and governance matters for the NGO. The role involves advising on SEC licensing, reviewing contracts and MOUs, and maintaining compliance records.

The Legal Counsel will coordinate Philippine law requirements with RI’s global policies, support governance decisions, and provide notarial services as needed during the retainer period.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Philippine license to practice law.
• Experience in corporate, regulatory, contractual and general organizational law.
• Experience providing retained legal support to NGOs or similar entities preferred.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical and timely legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise RI on routine Philippine legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance requirements (including SEC licensing).
• Review contracts, MOUs, leases, government documents, and other org documents.
• Provide notarial services during the contract period.
• Coordinate Philippine legal requirements with RI’s global policies and donor obligations.
