Job summary

JOSMEF Medical Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail setting. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and accurate medication dispensing in collaboration with the Pharmacist.

You will handle transactions, manage stock, and ensure adherence to FDA/DOH guidelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical/Vocational course related to Pharmacy, Healthcare, or Business.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing medicines and medical supplies.
• Provide accurate information on product use, storage, and availability.
• Support the Pharmacist in dispensing prescription medicines following company procedures.
• Handle cash register operations and issue official receipts accurately.
• Maintain courteous and professional customer service at all times.
• Receive, arrange, and display incoming stocks in proper storage areas.
• Monitor expiry dates and report near-expiry or damaged stocks to the Pharmacist.
• Assist in monthly and annual inventory counting and reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of shelves, counters, and storage areas.
• Record daily sales and inventory data accurately in system logs or sheets.
• Assist in preparing daily cut-off and sales reports.
• Ensure compliance with company documentation standards for all transactions.
• Support the Pharmacist in tracking inventory variances and adjustments.
• Follow pharmacy SOPs and company policies.
• Assist in implementing FDA and DOH guidelines related to pharmacy operations.
• Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing for restocking requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
