JOSMEF Medical Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail setting. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and accurate medication dispensing in collaboration with the Pharmacist.
You will handle transactions, manage stock, and ensure adherence to FDA/DOH guidelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient care.
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing medicines and medical supplies.
Provide accurate information on product use, storage, and availability.
Support the Pharmacist in dispensing prescription medicines following company procedures.
Handle cash register operations and issue official receipts accurately.
Maintain courteous and professional customer service at all times
Receive, arrange, and display incoming stocks in the proper storage areas.
Monitor expiry dates and product conditions; report near-expiry or damaged stocks to the Pharmacist.
Assist in monthly and annual inventory counting and reconciliation.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of shelves, counters, and storage areas.
Record daily sales and inventory data accurately in system logs or sheets.
Assist in preparing daily cut-off and sales reports.
Ensure compliance with company documentation standards for all transactions.
Support the Pharmacist in tracking inventory variances and adjustments
Follow pharmacy standard operating procedures and company policies.
Assist in implementing FDA and DOH guidelines related to pharmacy operations.
Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing for restocking requirements.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical/Vocational course related to Pharmacy, Healthcare, or Business.
At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a retail setting.
Good communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
Basic knowledge of medicines and medical supplies.
Computer-literate and familiar with point-of-sale systems.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
