A pharmacy assistant supports pharmacists in the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy. Their main duties involve administrative and operational tasks to help ensure efficient and safe medication dispensing and patient care. A pharmacy assistant’s responsibilities typically include:

• Medication Preparation and Dispensing: Assisting with the preparation and labeling of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Inventory Management: Stocking shelves with medications, checking for expired drugs, and assisting in inventory control, including ordering supplies.
• Customer Service: Greeting patients, answering phone calls, and providing general assistance with medication-related inquiries (within the scope of the pharmacy assistant’s role).
