Job Description

A Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists in the daily operations of a pharmacy, assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications, managing inventory, and providing customer service. The role is essential to ensuring that medications are dispensed accurately, customers' needs are met, and the pharmacy operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications as per prescriptions.
• Ensure that medication labels and instructions are accurate and legible.
• Measure, mix, or compound medications when required, under the pharmacist’s supervision.
• Verify medication stock levels and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma is usually required, with courses in mathematics, science (especially chemistry), and biology being beneficial.
