• Proven experience working as a Pet Groomer in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming requirements for dogs and cats.

Responsabilidades

• Bathing, drying and grooming dogs, cats and other small pets according to breed standards and client specifications.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pet Groomer to join the team at Pet Lover Centre in Kawit, Cavite. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with pets in a professional grooming environment. As a Pet Groomer, you will be at the heart of pet welfare, ensuring that every pet in your care receives exceptional grooming services while maintaining its health and well-being. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care that keeps our clients' beloved pets looking and feeling their best, directly contributing to the centre's reputation for excellence in veterinary services and pet welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Bathing, drying and grooming dogs, cats and other small pets according to breed standards and client specifications
• Trimming nails, cleaning ears as part of routine grooming procedures
• Handling and restraining pets safely and humanely during grooming sessions
• Monitoring pets' skin and coat condition, identifying and reporting any health concerns to the veterinary team

What we're looking for

• Comprehensive knowledge of different dog breeds, cat breeds and their specific grooming requirements
• Strong practical skills in bathing, drying, trimming and styling techniques
• Excellent pet handling and restraint techniques, with a genuine passion for pet welfare
• Ability to work safely with grooming equipment and maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with veterinary staff and other team members
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform grooming tasks, which can be physically demanding
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services
• Patience, compassion and a genuine love for pets
• Relevant grooming certification or qualification is highly desirable
• Knowledge of pets behaviour and stress management techniques is advantageous
