Job summary

Weir is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll activities in Pasig City, Philippines. The role involves handling payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring regulatory compliance, and performing audits to maintain payroll integrity.

Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in multinational payroll processing and demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What you’ll do
  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll activities including collecting, processing, and validating payroll data from Workday and other HRIS platforms. Daily tasks include processing payroll for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy of starters, leavers, changes, and pay frequencies. Success means timely and accurate payroll delivery with minimal errors. Travel may be required occasionally to support regional payroll harmonization efforts.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Support local and regional tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and year-end activities. Ensure GDPR and internal policy adherence, escalating any compliance risks promptly.
  • Audit & Controls: Perform reconciliation and audit checks, maintain audit trails, and identify discrepancies to uphold payroll integrity.
  • Stakeholder Support: Act as a key liaison for payroll queries, collaborate with HR, Finance, and payroll providers, and elevate complex issues as needed.
  • Systems & Improvement: Maintain payroll records, support system maintenance (Workday, Frontier, iChris, Dayforce), and follow standardized processes to enhance payroll operations.

What you’ll bring
  • Minimum 3 years of multinational payroll processing experience, including Australia and the Philippines.
  • Experience in Shared Services or BPO environments supporting multiple payroll cycles and countries.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and HR processes, including GDPR and data protection best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with Malaysia payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as Workday, Frontier, iChris, and Dayforce.
  • Ability to quickly learn new payroll systems and processes.
  • Experience supporting payroll harmonization and transformation projects.
