Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related fields.
  • At least five (5) years of payroll experience including ATO, Superannuation, and industrial legislation.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance practices with skills in payroll software, ATO, Superannuation and FWA legislation.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to work on a hybrid setup in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure payroll processing and related activities are accurate, timely and compliant with legislation.
  • Prepare payroll data and assist with quality control and maintenance of records for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Assist with taxation, superannuation and other statutory obligations through processing returns and reports.
  • Provide responsive advisory service on payroll matters and resolve inquiries to ensure accurate employee payments.
  • Process weekly payrolls and reconcile pay runs; liaise with site personnel to resolve pay queries.
  • Support audits, month-end and year-end payroll activities and supervise assigned team members.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related fields

The Payroll Lead is responsible for delivering and maintaining high standards of work whilst carrying out the duties of this role in line with Company Values to achieve long-term success

  • Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Prepare payroll and human resource information for data input and assist with checking, quality control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity.
  • Assist the organisation to meet its taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations through processing and preparation of returns, related reports, forms and other documentation as requested.
  • Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve enquiries and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained.
  • Payment errors less than 1% of total payroll disbursement
  • Process weekly payrolls in line with the employment contracts and letters of variation received from HR
  • Collate Variable Data in preparation for weekly pay runs
  • Process termination and redundancy payments in line with the relevant legislation
  • Liaising with project site personnel to resolve employee pay queries
  • Reconciliation of site-specific entitlements. (Severance Accruals, Leave Entitlements, Special Leave etc)
  • Produce Income Protection / Workers Compensation 52 week earning reports and process payments arising from IP & WC Claims
  • Produce adhoc reports as required by the business. (Man-Hour reports, IP & WC reports etc)
  • Assist with resetting ESS (Employee Self Service Portal) passwords and initial employee navigation
  • Asist Payroll Manager to supervise the assigned team members
  • Review pay runs before payroll finalisation.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor team productivity
  • Support internal and external payroll audits
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or any related courses
  • With at least five (5) years of work experience in payroll practices but not limited to ATO, Superannuation, and industrial legislation
  • Understanding of basic payroll compliance practice with demonstrable skills in payroll software, ATO legislation, Superannuation legislation and FWA legislation
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and identify training and development needs
  • Willing to work on a hybrid set-up in Alabang, Muntinlupa
