In this role you are expected to:
- Be accountable for management of a complex / critical / large professional disciplinary area and operational function
- Contribute to short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources, and oversee the budget, and policy formation
- Lead change-the-bank projects, resolve escalated complex issues and balance potentially conflicting needs
- Present and analyze/validate data to develop solutions that increase productivity, eliminate inefficiencies and save costs
- Implement and manage a successful risk/control environment, ensuring integrity of process, operations and end results
- Act as an advisor and coach to new or junior level staff on procedures and work processes across multiple departments.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Build the team for the future by developing AI skill sets across teams. Bring about AI first mindset on all ideations and process improvements/changes.
- Responsible for regulatory engagements and implementation to ensure compliance to local regulations. Leads key discussions on new regulation, review and assessment on impact to Operations.
- Representation for Citi PH in industry forums covering Operations across Banking Forums. One of the key representations is on the Domestic Dollar Settlement Clearing
- Responsible as Business Activity Owner for operational matters and processes managed by internal and external partners, this includes full adherence to Third Party Management Framework
- Drives automation and optimization of operations by leading reviews and discussions with key stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure Operational resiliency plan is updated and implemented according to plan to support Crisis Management Teams for critical business services
- Escalate concerns/challenges early to take senior support to navigate/remediate the situation in hand.
- Have an open and transparent communication standards with the teams under management. Encourage the teams to learn new things, try out and fail fast as an approach for development.
- Coach/Mentor people on succession planning on key roles within the organization and rotate people around different job roles for them to be more rounded to take on senior roles.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 10+ years of experience in a related role
- Internal and External Stakeholder management
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
