Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Pavement Engineer to lead design, analysis and maintenance planning of road pavement systems. You will apply technical expertise in materials, construction methods and modelling for projects in New South Wales and beyond.

You will bring 5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Austroads standards, and strong reporting and communication skills. This role emphasizes collaborative problem solving and learning across geographies.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Australian road design standards (Austroads, State Road Authorities).
• Experience in pavement design to various Australian requirements would be an advantage.
• Interest in road pavement design.
• Software skills - AutoCAD.
• Technical reporting.
• Geotechnical/material background.
• Writing and communication.
• Time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pavement condition assessments, failure investigations, and life-cycle analyses.
• Develop pavement designs in accordance with relevant standards and client specifications.
• Perform materials selection, thickness design, and structural modelling for both flexible and rigid pavements.
• Interpret geotechnical and traffic data to inform pavement performance evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings
