Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Pavement Engineer to design, analyse and maintain road pavement systems, applying Australian standards and modern digital methods. Based in Manila, you will work on challenging projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant pavement experience or similar.
• Familiarity with Australian road design standards (Austroads, State Road Authorities).
• Experience in pavement design to Australian requirements is a plus.
• Interest in road pavement design and infrastructure.
• Software skills with AutoCAD and related tools.
• Strong technical reporting abilities.
• Geotechnical/material background is advantageous.
• Clear writing and communication skills, plus time management.

• Conduct pavement condition assessments, failure investigations, and life-cycle analyses.
• Develop pavement designs in accordance with relevant standards and client specifications.
• Perform materials selection, thickness design, and structural modelling for both flexible and rigid pavements.

• Prepare technical reports and drawings.

What will you do?

The Pavement Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, assessment, and maintenance planning of road pavement systems to ensure safe, durable, and cost-effective infrastructure. The role supports the delivery of pavement solutions by applying technical expertise in materials and construction methods, contributing and assisting on project delivery in New South Whales.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct pavement condition assessments, failure investigations, and life-cycle analyses.
• Develop pavement designs in accordance with relevant standards and client specifications.
• Perform materials selection, thickness design, and structural modelling for both flexible and rigid pavements.
• Interpret geotechnical and traffic data to inform pavement performance evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings.
