Job Summary
We are seeking passionate, industry-driven, and student-centered Computer Science and Information Technology Instructors to join our academic team. The Part-Time Technology Instructor delivers engaging, industry-relevant instruction that strengthens students' analytical thinking, mathematical foundations, and problem-solving skills essential for computing and software development.
The role teaches the following subjects:
- Computer Programming
- Introduction to Computing and Web Design
- Information Management
The instructor prepares students with the theoretical foundations of computing through practical discussions, real-world applications, and learner-centered teaching that promotes logical reasoning, computational thinking, and algorithmic problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- With industry experience in software engineering, software development, application development, systems development, data engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, IT consulting, or other computing-related roles
- Strong foundation in discrete mathematics, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and problem-solving
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and engage students through practical applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and learning management systems
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills and a passion for mentoring future technology professionals
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, learning materials, and classroom activities aligned with the curriculum
- Teach core concepts in discrete mathematics, algorithm design, computational complexity, mathematical reasoning, logic, sets, graphs, and discrete structures
- Integrate real-world computing and software engineering applications to reinforce theoretical concepts
- Facilitate discussions, problem-solving activities, and learner-centered exercises that strengthen students' analytical and computational thinking skills
- Monitor student performance and provide timely coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment
- Participate in academic meetings, school activities, and faculty development programs as needed
