Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Paralegal (Debt Recovery) to join the remote-ready legal recoveries team in Metro Manila. You will prepare legal documents, reconcile amounts owed, liaise with clients and courts, and provide timely updates to clients under supervision of the Debt Recovery Manager and Partners.

The ideal candidate has a university degree and prior law firm or professional services exposure, with strong attention to detail, communication, and Excel/MS Office skills.

The position

We have an opportunity for a motivated paralegal to join our growing firm. This role will see you work in our legal recoveries and insolvency team under the supervision and guidance of the Debt Recovery Manager and our Partners. You will be enthusiastic and pragmatic in your approach, have a keen eye for detail, possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients.

A background in legal and commercial recovery work will be highly regarded. However, a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively within our team environment is more important and key to your success in this role.

This role is perfect for an individual with excellent written communication and drafting skills as this is not a traditional debt recovery clerk role where you will be constantly calling debtors rather the key focus of the role is document preparation and client updates.

• Experience working within a law firm or professional services;

Skills And Experience

• Excellent attention to detail together with strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Well developed time management skills;
• A willingness to learn, positive approach and strong initiative;
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and the MS Office suite;
• Experience in debt recovery is preferred but not required.
• Minimum two years previous experience in a law firm or a professional services environment;
• Prior experience in debt recovery is preferred.
