Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Galley Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the galley warehouse on Diego Garcia. You will ensure efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of food service supplies and Government Furnished Property, while supervising warehouse personnel and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Knowledge of FAR, government property disposal, and experience with DLA/DMCA tools will be essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in government or military contexts.
• Experience with handheld barcode scanners and computerized warehouse management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Government Furnished Property management and accountability.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation governing government property.
• Familiarity with government property disposal procedures.
• Experience with Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Disposition Services, and Defense Contract Management Agency etools.
• Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport valid for at least 1 year at hire.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas as per US State Dept guidance.
• Ability to pass medical and deployment requirements.
• Must maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• English language proficiency for contract requirements and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily galley warehouse operations for receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of supplies and Government Furnished Property.
• Coordinate activities to support uninterrupted galley and food service operations.
• Verify accuracy of receiving reports, shipping logs, and inventory transactions.
• Receive, inspect, store, stack, palletize, and prepare materials for shipment.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and disposition of government property.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; report discrepancies.
• Maintain accountability and compliance with government property requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR and other regulations; manage documentation.
• Train, supervise, and mentor warehouse staff; ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory records and proper filing procedures.
