Job summary

City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City, Metro Manila is seeking an Outlet Cashier to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will process payments across food and beverage outlets, maintain cash security, and deliver exceptional guest service as the final contact at the point of sale.

You will need experience in cashier roles, proficiency with POS systems, and a customer-focused mindset. The role requires flexibility for shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a hotel environment

Qualifications

• Experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role.
• Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling multiple payment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a genuine passion for customer service.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume or challenging situations.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Previous experience in a hotel or upscale dining establishment would be advantageous.

About the role

We are seeking an Outlet Cashier to join the team at City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth financial transactions across our food and beverage outlets. As an Outlet Cashier, you will be the final point of contact with our guests, responsible for processing payments accurately, maintaining cash security, and contributing to an outstanding guest experience that reflects our hotel's commitment to excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Processing guest payments accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash, card, and digital transactions

• Providing courteous and professional customer service to all guests whilst maintaining a welcoming demeanour

• Reconciling cash registers at the beginning and end of each shift, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Maintaining accurate records of all transactions and ensuring compliance with hotel financial procedures

• Assisting with order taking and communicating with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order fulfilment

• Handling guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the cashier station and surrounding outlet areas

• Restocking supplies and ensuring the outlet is adequately prepared for service periods

• Adhering to all hotel security protocols and safeguarding cash and sensitive guest information
