Job summary

Commsec Inc. in the Philippines is seeking experienced personnel for fiber optic cable installation, construction, and maintenance across multiple project sites. You will join a field team to perform cable laying, testing, splicing, and troubleshooting to ensure uninterrupted network service.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in fiber optic cable installation, construction, or maintenance.
• At least 1 year of experience in a lineman or related field role.
• Knowledge of fiber optic network construction and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with fiber optic testing equipment and maintenance tools.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and support repair activities.
• Valid driver's license with experience operating light commercial vehicles.
• Willing to travel to various project sites within assigned areas.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively in field-based environments.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, construction, and maintenance of fiber optic cable networks.
• Handle cable laying, routing, securing, and organization activities.
• Conduct inspections and assist in identifying and resolving cable network issues.
• Support restoration and repair activities to maintain network reliability.
• Work closely with fiber optic technicians during cable splicing and testing activities.
• Install and replace line-related hardware and accessories on poles and underground facilities.
• Ensure work areas are kept safe and free from obstructions that may affect network operations.
• Operate and utilize fiber optic maintenance tools and equipment as required.
• Drive company vehicles for transportation of personnel, tools, and materials to project sites.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles.
• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards during field operations.
