Responsibilities

• Handle delicate fibers and conduct periodic checks.
• Troubleshoot problems and create solutions.
• Perform technical testing of fiber optic cables in the field.

Job description

The Lineman undertakes tasks such as Fiber Optic installation, configuration, testing, operation and maintenance of wired and wireless infrastructure for the provision of WiFi internet access.

Qualifications:

• Experienced with Fiber Optic Maintenance & Splicing

Functions and Specific Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance check of fiber optic cables
• Performs tasks such as climbing ladders & utility poles, fusion splicing of optical fibers, new splicing and repair splicing
• Responsible in handling delicate fibers
• Responsible in conducting periodic check of the fiber optic infrastructure
• Responsible in troubleshooting problems, identifies and create solution
• Performs technical testing of fiber optic cables in the field
• Visually identifies fibers through labeling and color-coding
