Job summary

Jevant Technologies is seeking a talented OSP Designer to join our Design & Architecture team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. You will plan, design, and optimise outside plant infrastructure for telecommunications and utilities, producing detailed CAD drawings and BOMs.

Applicants should have a Civil/Electrical/Telecom background with 3–5 years in OSP design, CAD proficiency, and strong communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in OSP design, telecommunications infrastructure, or related fields.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and design tools commonly used in telecommunications and utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications standards, codes, and regulations applicable to outside plant infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, routing principles, and infrastructure planning methodologies.
• Excellent spatial visualisation and technical drawing skills.
• Ability to interpret surveys, site plans, and existing utility maps accurately.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address design challenges creatively and pragmatically.
• Preferred experience: GIS (Geographic Information Systems), experience with design management software, and familiarity with fibre optic network design.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive OSP designs including network topology, routing, and placement of cables, ducts, poles, and other infrastructure elements.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess terrain, existing utilities, and environmental factors affecting design decisions.
• Create detailed design documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials using industry-standard software and CAD tools.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant telecommunications standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet technical and commercial objectives.
• Prepare cost estimates and resource requirements based on design specifications.
• Review and optimise designs for efficiency, manufacturability, and installation feasibility.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and address design-related issues that arise during construction or installation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in outside plant design.

About the role

Jevant Technologies is seeking a talented OSP Designer to join our Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As an OSP (Outside Plant) Designer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and optimisation of telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects.
