Questronix Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Database Developer to design and implement robust PL/SQL solutions and optimize complex queries. You will manage data architecture, ETL processes, and collaborate with analysts and engineers in an Agile environment to translate business requirements into scalable SQL logic.

Candidates should demonstrate mastery of Oracle Database architecture and experience with SQL Developer, TOAD, and ERwin, with familiarity across MS SQL Server,

Competenze

• Mastery of advanced SQL and expert PL/SQL programming.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture; familiarity with SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL is a plus.
• Experience with IDEs such as Oracle SQL Developer and TOAD; data modeling with ERwin.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, scheduler tools (Autosys), and ETL frameworks (Informatica).
• Understanding of Agile delivery, automated testing for database code, and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Description:

• Database Development: Design and write efficient PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, packages, functions, views, and database triggers.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze complex queries, build strategic indexes, use optimizer hints, and utilize tools like AWR (Automatic Workload Repository), Explain Plan, and Profiler to eliminate database bottlenecks.
• Data Architecture & Modeling: Manage and design database schemas, tablespaces, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and overall data structures to maintain data integrity.
• ETL and Data Migration: Build automated batch jobs using data transformation routines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from external flat files or legacy systems into target databases.
• Collaboration: Work alongside data analysts, software engineering teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to map business requirements into technical SQL logic.

Qualifications:

• Core Languages: Mastery of advanced SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions) and expert-level PL/SQL programming.
• Database Management Systems: Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture. Familiarity with alternate relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) is often a plus.
• Development Tools: Proficiency using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or ERwin for data modeling.
• Automation & Build Tools: Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, scheduler tools (like Autosys), and ETL frameworks (like Informatica).
• Methodologies: Practical understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, automated testing for database code, and CI/CD pipelines.
