Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd seeks a Product/Process Quality Engineer to drive quality from design through production on site in the Philippines. You will lead root cause analysis, implement QC plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues while maintaining ISO9001 standards.

The role emphasizes measurement metrology, operator training, and ongoing quality improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Product/Process Quality Engineer.
• Strong understanding of QA concepts in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Understand product specifications during new parts introduction and change reviews.
• Determine QC plan, control processes, and metrology; document inspection procedures.
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Summarize and analyze internal quality performance for improvements.
• Verify corrective and preventive actions and ensure effectiveness.
• Review specifications and measurement metrology for new products and provide engineering input.
• Push and implement continuous improvement and track effects.
• Lead root cause analysis for nonconforming products and coordinate actions.
• Coordinate customer complaint and warranty action plans and communications.
• Coach IQC operators and monitor supplier quality performance.
• Support ISO 9001 implementation, audits, and process conformance.
• Assist colleagues and continuously learn new related knowledge.
