Job summary

J&T Cargo is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Metro Manila to oversee the Quality, Efficiency, and Data Analysis teams. You will direct daily operations, set team goals, and drive performance through coaching and development in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analytics, and a solid understanding of KPIs, cost structures, and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in operations management, business analysis, performance management, cost analysis, quality management, or process improvement.
• Experience managing or coordinating multiple teams/functions is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, cost structures, and performance analysis.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Chinese/Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, workload distribution, and personnel allocation of the Quality, Efficiency, and Data Analysis teams.
• Set team objectives and monitor individual and team performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development.
• Monitor distribution costs, unit costs, and cost-reduction targets.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve cost efficiency.
• Lead cost-reduction projects and track implementation and results.
• Monitor operational efficiency indicators including labor efficiency, sorting productivity, truck-loading/fill rate, equipment utilization, and operational waste.
• Coordinate quality-loss control and monitor operational quality issues.
• Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and performance monitoring systems.
• Conduct specialized data analysis related to labor efficiency, loading rates, mis-sorting, cargo loss, and shipment delays.
