Job summary

Union Bank of the Philippines is seeking an Operational Risk Management Officer to lead the ORM program, align with BSP guidelines, and drive risk-based decisions across the bank. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, governance, and digital transformation initiatives.

You will implement ORM tools, develop policies, and deliver data-driven reporting for senior management and the Board, while promoting risk awareness and resilience across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in risk management, governance, audit, or compliance within banking/finance.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, controls, and resilience practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the ORM framework, procedures, and systems to fit the bank's size and needs.
• Formulate and update ORM policies, guidelines, and procedures for regulatory alignment.
• Implement ORM tools (Incident Reporting, KRIs, RCSA, Issue Management) and assess new products/processes.
• Collaborate with 1LOD to ensure risk exposures stay within risk appetite.
• Coordinate with 2LOD/3LOD (Compliance, Internal Audit, IT Risk) for oversight and issue resolution.
• Promote ORM awareness through training and focused learning sessions.
• Prepare ORM reports and presentations for Senior Management and ORMC/Board.
• Support governance forums and regulatory submissions as required.
• Represent the division in committees and cross-functional initiatives.
