Job summary

Philippine Veterans Bank is seeking a Business Risk Officer to strengthen risk management across business units. The BRO will identify, assess and mitigate risks in line with BSP Circular 900, Circular 1112 and MORB, while enhancing internal controls and resilience.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in risk, audit or banking operations, with strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills to support decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in risk, audit, compliance, or banking operations
• Working knowledge of BSP Circular Nos. 900 and 1112, as well as the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB)
• Experience in People Risk Management is an advantage
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and maintain risk registers
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and prepare risk reports
• Identify control gaps and recommend improvements
• Manage operational risk incidents and loss events
• Perform risk reviews for new products and process changes
• Support people risk management (KYE) and fraud prevention
• Assist in Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations and support audits
