Job summary

PM Consulting in Ortigas, Pasig is seeking a Rebar Estimator to develop accurate cost and quantity estimates for reinforcement steel projects. You will review structural drawings, specs, and project requirements to determine material quantities, costs, and pricing.

You will interpret drawings, validate BBS data, prepare detailed quotations, and support value engineering to keep bids competitive while meeting quality standards. Proficiency in Excel and rebar software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in rebar estimating, reinforcement detailing, structural steel estimation, or a closely related field.
• Experience using rebar detailing, estimating, or construction-related software, such as CADS RC, Tekla Structures, Bluebeam, or equivalent platforms.

Responsibilities

• Estimation & Take-Off: Review structural drawings and project docs to prepare accurate reinforcement quantities and cost estimates.
• Drawing & Technical Review: Validate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for accuracy and quantities.
• Tender & Quotation Preparation: Prepare detailed quotations and submit tenders within deadlines.
• Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Pricing & Cost Database Management: Update pricing references and standard estimating models based on cost changes.
• Quality, Compliance & Standards: Ensure estimates align with project specs and relevant codes.
