Job summary

HRTX in the Philippines is seeking Medical Coders (CIC, COC, CRC, CCS, CPC) with at least 2 years of medical coding experience and professional coder certification. You will assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation, stay updated on coding guidelines, and assist in audits and reporting while maintaining patient information confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years experience in medical coding.
• Certified Professional Coder (AHIMA or AAPC approved)
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Willing to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records and documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure coding is accurate and in compliance with federal regulations and payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in audits, data analysis, and reporting as needed.
• Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks established by the department.
• Protect the confidentiality and integrity of patient information.
