Job summary

HRTX is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our healthcare operations team in Cebu City. You will review records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for ED, SDS, inpatient and outpatient encounters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA.

The ideal candidate holds BS Nursing or a medical-related degree, active coding certifications (CPC, CCS, CIC or CPC-A), and at least 1 year of experience. Proficiency in EHR, coding software, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Nursing or medical-related field.
• Must have an active coding certification (CPC, CCS, CIC, CPC-A).
• At least 1 year of hands-on coding experience in ED, SDS, Inpatient or Outpatient.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; detail oriented.
• Proficient in using EHR systems, coding software, and MS Office.
• Willing to work night shifts or U.S. hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Review records to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure accuracy for ED, SDS, Inpatient, and Outpatient encounters.
• Verify codes for diagnoses and procedures for billing.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to clarify documentation.
