Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Coordinating with VP for Finance on financial operations and reporting.
• Managing the department's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Performing financial duties assigned by the Company President.
• Serving as the primary financial contact for overseas principals.
• Reviewing remittances from principals through depository banks.
• Verifying monthly General Shipping Accounts and other principal accounts.
• Reviewing and approving final wages and settlements of crew.
• Overseeing treasury, checks, cash monitoring, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, reporting, and policies.
