Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Onsite Checker to oversee loading operations and ensure the safe, accurate, and timely dispatch of cargo using dry vans. The role is responsible for inspecting container vans, validating shipment quantities, monitoring loading activities, verifying shipping documents, and coordinating with warehouse personnel, transport teams, and clients to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Cargo Inspection & Loading
- Coordinate with the Transport Team regarding container van pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Inspect dry vans before loading to ensure they are clean, free from damage, rust, holes, insects, and other issues that may result in shipment rejection.
- Supervise the stacking and loading of cargo to ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
- Conduct actual counting of cases, pallets, and items against the Final Loading List.
- Monitor loading activities to ensure accuracy and proper cargo handling.
Documentation & Compliance
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of shipping documents, including:
- Sales Invoice
- Delivery Receipt
- Final Loading List
- Proforma Invoice
- Bill of Lading
- Dock Appointment Slip
- Waybill
- Ensure all required documents are properly endorsed to the truck driver before dispatch.
- Witness and verify the proper sealing of container vans before departure.
- Secure proof of document turnover for proper record-keeping.
Coordination & Quality Control
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel, transport teams, truck drivers, and clients to ensure smooth loading operations.
- Ensure all personnel comply with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
- Immediately report loading issues, discrepancies, or operational concerns to warehouse personnel and management.
- Gather and report operational information and field observations as required.
Qualifications
Education
- At least College Level or Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
Experience
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a Checker, Warehouse Checker, Logistics Assistant, or a similar role.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, or FMCG operations is preferred.
