Job summary

CHINT Smartpower Services in the Philippines seeks an on-site Safety Manager to oversee safety management for PV and wind projects, ensure compliance with OSHS and local permit systems, and promote standardized safe operating procedures.

The role requires organizing safety training, performing risk assessments and investigations, handling emergency response, and maintaining safety documentation, with strong English communication and a valid Philippine driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of safety management experience in the power industry.
• Experience with PV or wind plants and O&M safety requirements is preferred.
• Familiar with Philippine OSHS, work permit, LOTO, working at height, confined space and electrical safety control.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety management for photovoltaic and wind power projects and standardize safe work behaviors.
• Implement and comply with OSHS regulations and local permit systems.
• Organize safety training, perform risk assessments and incident investigations, and prepare safety reports.
• Manage on-site emergency procedures, first aid and fire protection.
• Conduct daily safety patrols, track hazards, and ensure compliance with safety specifications.
• Maintain and organize safety documents, communicate with stakeholders in English.
• Cooperate with field inspectors and provide daily operation support; valid Philippine driver’s license preferred.
