Job summary

DOZA Group Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer for construction projects in Cebu. The role focuses on implementing and enforcing site safety policies in line with DOLE OSH requirements, conducting inspections, and coordinating with management and subcontractors to maintain a safe workplace.

The ideal candidate has DOLE-prescribed OSH training and at least 1 year of construction safety experience, with strong communication and discipline to enforce safety rules on-site.

Qualifications

• Must have DOLE-prescribed OSH training.
• Minimum 1 year of construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, permits, incident reporting and documentation.
• Familiar with high-risk construction activities (height work, hot works, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site safety policies and DOLE OSH requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections for unsafe acts and hazards.
• Hold toolbox talks and safety orientations for workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper PPE use and compliance with safe work procedures.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, hot works, electrical, cutting, grinding, and material handling.
• Verify work permits, barricades, signage and safety precautions.
• Maintain housekeeping, storage and access route safety.
• Keep safety reports, checklists, permits and documentation updated.
• Report and investigate accidents, near misses, and violations.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, subcontractors, workers and client safety reps.
