Job summary

OSM Thome seeks an experienced Crane Operator (CRO) for an offshore construction vessel operating out of Amsterdam. You will handle heavy lifts offshore, support deck operations and coordinate with marine and construction teams to keep lifting work safe and efficient.

The role requires offshore experience, valid crane certifications, and a strong command of English. You will work at sea, in a multicultural crew, adapting to changing offshore conditions while adhering to lift plans, safety rules,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as offshore Crane Operator (CRO) on construction or heavy-lift vessels.
• Valid offshore and crane certifications according to international standards.
• Good knowledge of safe lifting operations and offshore safety practices.
• Ability to work in a multicultural crew and in changing offshore conditions.
• Good command of English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate offshore cranes for cargo, equipment and construction lifts.
• Carry out lifting operations in line with lift plans and company procedures.
• Coordinate with bridge, deck crew and construction team during operations.
• Perform pre-use checks and basic maintenance on crane equipment.
• Report defects, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Follow all safety rules, permit to work and toolbox talks.
