OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Bosun for a car carrier trading worldwide. You will lead the deck crew, oversee maintenance of decks and fittings, and support safe cargo operations and mooring.

This role requires proven seagoing experience, STCW certificates, and strong English communication. You will train deck ratings and participate in drills to ensure safe, efficient operations at sea.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as Bosun or senior AB on seagoing vessels.
• Car carrier or Ro-Ro experience preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness.
• Good seamanship and practical deck skills.
• Ability to lead and train deck ratings.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise deck ratings in daily deck work.
• Organize and carry out maintenance of deck, hull and fittings.
• Assist with cargo, lashing and unlashing of vehicles.
• Take part in mooring, anchoring and unmooring operations.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper use of deck equipment.
• Support drills and emergency duties as assigned.
