Job Description
The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) oversees the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth sales flow, accurate cash handling, proper inventory management, and excellent customer service. The role acts as the second-in-command and performs Store Manager duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years experience in retail, cashiering, or store operations (preferred)
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work on-site and on shifting schedules
Responsibilities
Store Operations & Leadership
- Supervise daily store operations including opening and closing procedures
- Monitor staff performance and ensure proper workflow
- Act as Store Manager when the Store Manager is not present
- Ensure achievement of sales targets and support store sales operations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve complaints
- Maintain high customer service standards
- Operate POS system and handle daily cash transactions
- Prepare and reconcile daily sales reports and remittances
- Ensure accuracy of discounts, prices, and promotions
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
- Assist in inventory counting and reconciliation
- Ensure proper merchandising and product display
Reporting & Coordination
- Report sales, inventory, and operational issues to management
- Coordinate with management for store concerns and improvements
