Job summary

Amentum seeks a licensed vehicle operator for deployment to Diego Garcia to operate equipment in support of U.S. Government facilities and solid waste management operations.

The role requires valid licenses, adherence to NAVFAC P-300 standards, and ability to obtain necessary visas and security credentials for assignment in BIOT. This full-time position offers remote overseas deployment with safety-focused environment and opportunities to contribute to critical mission tasks.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and licensed to operate automotive vehicles and equipment per NAVFAC P-300 and 49 CFR Parts.
• Current licenses must be valid during all periods of operation.
• Proven ability to operate and maintain relevant vehicles and solid waste management equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per guidance.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and deployment.
• Must be able to obtain facility credentials/authorization.
• English language literacy to perform contract requirements and safety procedures.
• Passport valid at least 1 year at time of hire.
• License and clearance renewal as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate automotive vehicles and equipment in accordance with compliance standards.
• Transport loads relevant to solid waste management safely.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment checks.
• Maintain vehicles through routine inspections and minor repairs.
• Ensure licenses are current and valid during operation.
• Document equipment operation and maintenance records.
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
