Job summary

The Medical City Ortigas is seeking an experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor to join our leadership team. This role supports the department head in planning and directing clinical nursing operations across assigned units, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a PRC-licensed RN credential with a Master’s degree or postgraduate studies in Nursing or Hospital Management, and has significant supervisory experience in a tertiary nursing unit.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (PRC) in the Philippines.
• Master’s degree or 9 postgraduate units; must complete within 5 years of enrollment.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a tertiary nursing unit.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience as Head Nurse, including managing a nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Support department head in planning, organizing, directing/leading, and evaluating nursing unit activities.
• Supervise daily operations of assigned nursing units to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
• Guide and monitor staff performance in alignment with policies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Provide mentorship and professional development to nursing staff under supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster patient-centered care.
• Participate in audits, performance reviews, and data-driven unit evaluations.

This leadership role plays a critical part in ensuring high standards of patient care and nursing practice across assigned clinical units. The successful candidate will assist the department head in strategic and operational management, supporting the mission and vision of both the Nursing Services and The Medical City as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the department head in planning, organizing, directing/leading, and controlling/evaluating the activities of clinical nursing units.
• Supervise daily operations of assigned nursing units to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.
• Guide and monitor the performance of staff in alignment with institutional policies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead innovation and process improvement initiatives within assigned units to enhance clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Provide mentorship and professional development to nursing staff under supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a patient-centered and outcomes-driven care environment.
• Participate in audits, performance reviews, and data-driven evaluations of unit performance.

Qualifications

• duly licensed Registered Nurse by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines.
• With a minimum of nine (9) units in a postgraduate program or Master’s degree in Nursing or Hospital Management and Administration; must complete the degree within 5 years of initial enrollment.
• With at least 2 years of clinical experience in handling and managing patients in a tertiary nursing unit.
• With at least 3 years of supervisory experience as a Head Nurse, including managing and directing a nursing unit.
