Job summary

Google is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - coordinating requirements, schedules, risks, and communications across offices and time zones. • Plan and execute operations development activities, ensure transition to production within cost, quality, and capacity parameters, and ensure production transitions meet program goals.
• Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (material availability, cost/assembly/test/BOM/capacity readiness and transition plans).
• Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule, or demand.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience working in networking, cloud, or data center environments.
• Experience managing NPI programs for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) hardware with a focus on vendor management, cost control, quality/reliability, and on-time delivery.

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• 5 years of experience in multiple aspects of hardware and manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge about hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation, assembly and test processes.
• Developed leadership, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity and strategic skills.
• Effective communicator of project requirements and schedules.
