Job summary

CARE Philippines is seeking a Financial Reporting Lead to join the USA Accounting and Reporting Team. You will handle U.S. GAAP financial reporting, statutory filings, tax reporting, and NICRA analysis in collaboration with CARE’s SSC in Manila.

The role suits a CPA with strong accounting and reporting experience in a globally connected humanitarian organization. You will work across U.S. GAAP, tax-related reporting, and indirect cost rate calculations, supporting assurance and audit requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• CPA qualification preferred.
• 4–7 years experience in GAAP technical accounting research and application.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and emerging standards.
• Experience preparing financial statements and reporting packages.
• Experience with large ERP systems; PeopleSoft preferred.
• Nonprofit sector experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements and related disclosures under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare monthly financial results for the Board.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for key areas.
• Support PeopleSoft COA maintenance with CARE’s SSC Accounting Team.
• Research and resolve accounting issues with new U.S. GAAP standards.
• Prepare schedules for IRS Form 990 and subsidiary tax filings.
• Coordinate statutory reports for U.S. Census Bureau and BEA.
• Provide data for external surveys and reporting requirements.
