AboitizPower, a leading energy company in the Philippines, seeks a New Energy Specialist to drive BESS and new technology initiatives from concept to delivery. You will engage with the Business Development team to deliver results, contribute to community impact, and grow in a purpose-driven environment.

Required are a Bachelor's in Engineering, 8+ years in Oil & Gas or Power (3+ in CCU/BESS) and strong PM and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
• 8+ years in Oil & Gas or Power with 3+ years in CCU/BESS or related tech.
• PM certification preferred; strong leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS and new technology projects from concept to execution within schedule and budget.
• Evaluate BESS tech and support strategy roadmaps and regulatory alignment.
• Develop technical concepts, project plans, business cases, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, regulators, and partners to resolve issues.
• Provide management with technical insights, trends, and project updates.

As a New Energy Specialist, you will lead the development and execution of BESS and new technology projects, ensuring technically sound, economically feasible, and risk-balanced delivery and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Business Development team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Project Development & Execution – Lead BESS and new technology projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with timelines, budget, quality, and regulations.
• Technology & Strategy – Evaluate BESS/new technologies and support the development of technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Business Case & Engineering – Develop technical concepts, project plans, business cases, cost and risk assessments, and engineering standards.
• Stakeholder Management – Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, clients, regulators, government, and partners to resolve issues and optimize projects.
• Industry & Management Reporting – Monitor industry trends and provide management with technical insights, recommendations, and project updates.

What You Will Need:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
• Experience: 8+ years in Oil & Gas or Power, with 3+ years in carbon capture/CCU projects and 3+ years in leadership.
• Certification: Project Management certification preferred.
• Technical Expertise: BESS technology, carbon capture processes/equipment, engineering standards, and project management.
• Competencies: Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of global BESS policies and regulatory frameworks.
