Job summary

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is seeking a Network Facilities Engineer to support a range of onsite activities, including integration, enhancement, migration, and expansion of network facilities.

You will conduct service acceptance, inspect network elements, and ensure quality standards across cables, nodes, and COs. The role involves troubleshooting onsite network events, managing data nodes, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for upgrades and expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, ECE, EE, or related field with network/facility focus.
• Experience in network or facility operations and management.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
• Experience with electro-mechanical design and project management on network projects.
• Ability to design, analyze, and troubleshoot complex network equipment and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, building codes, and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support network integration, enhancement, migration, augmentation, expansion, and other network or facilities related activities.
• Conduct onsite service acceptance process and inspection on Network Elements, Fiber Optic Cable and Node Facilities.
• Respond and resolve all onsite troubleshooting and escalated network events or outages, equipment and node facilities performance issues.
• Data node operation and node management; monitor and assist network activities, including maintaining cable management and tidiness on nodes and COs.
• Onsite inventory to align with internal audit and inventory management teams.
• Onsite assessment and fault analysis to support service improvement to ensure deployment of quality standards on our services and facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement network upgrades, service improvements, and expansions.
• 12 Total CO/Node, 15 MPLS, 14 OLT, and 1 DWDM.
• Circuit activation and testing.
• Provide onsite support on complex network provisioning and troubleshooting for enterprise and corporate circuits.
• Total corporate circuits are 10.

• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot complex network equipment and electrical systems.
• Knowledge in operating various testers.
• Network and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of network and support facilities equipment dimensioning, electrical, and building codes.

• Able to drive a manual vehicle (four wheels) with a valid driver's license.
