Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Network Support professional for the Remote Operations Center Manila to monitor and maintain wind park networks and ensure secure connectivity across global sites. The role emphasizes offsite network support, remote configuration, and incident resolution in a hybrid work setup in Manila.

The candidate should have a BS in a relevant field, CCNA certification, 2–3 years in incident management, and experience with Cisco devices, ISE, and VPN technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT, or equivalent.
• Professional experience maintaining real-world production systems and complex network designs.
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE (LDAP, REST APIs), IPSec VPN, DMVPN, and device authentication (IEEE 802.1x).
• 2–3 years of experience with Cisco switches/routers and other vendors; CCNA certified.
• 2–3 years in Incident Management; experience diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of Information Security and Risk Management.
• ITIL v4 certification is a plus.

Job description

Remote Operations Center Manila is part of Vestas Global Plant Engineering. It is responsible for monitoring SCADA servers worldwide, ensuring complete and accurate data collection from wind parks, and reducing customer network downtime.

Remote Operations Center Manila supports: Offsite IT Infrastructure alert monitoring for other wind parks across the globe to ensure connectivity of all the parks to the network, the SCADA server is in working condition, and Vestas critical services are running to minimize the lost production factor of wind turbines.

Responsibilities

• Offsite network support assisting customers to make sure that they can connect to the Vestas network
• Remote Configuration, installation, and upgrade of network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices in the Wind Power Plants (WPP)
• Facilitate wind farm integration to Vestas network
• Maintain network uptime by reactive remote troubleshooting
• User management for Cisco network devices
• High-quality support, i.e., short response time and high-resolution rate
• Ticket resolution (incident resolution, request fulfillment)
• Provides input for continuous operations improvement
• Involvement in Projects

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT, or equivalent
• Professional experience maintaining real-world production systems. Maintain complex network designs
• For instance, Understanding of Cisco ISE (LDAP, REST APIs), IPSec VPN, DMVPN, and device authentication (IEEE 802.1x)
• At least two (2) years of extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers (preferred industrial grade) experience and other vendors. CCNA (or equivalent) certified
• Two (2) to three (3) years of related experience in Incident Management and diagnosing and resolving issues
• For instance, knowledge of Information Security and Risk Management
• For instance, Certification in ITIL v4
