Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive experience in networking.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, ASA, Firepower, Fortinet, and F5.
• Experience with route/switch, security, wireless, etc., and professional level support.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with monitoring and management of SD‑WAN solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN connections for multiple clients.
• Use remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve network problems.
• Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems, and determine solutions.
• Recommend enhancements to the network that will improve the quality, performance, security, and reliability of the network.
• Create and maintain documentation of networks and network systems.
• Follow project methodologies to complete assigned tasks.

About the role

As a network engineer within Insight’s Infrastructure Managed Services Team, your primary role will be to work on diverse and challenging customer projects. You will be part of a team responsible for incident resolution and service request handling for a wide variety of networking technologies.

As a Network Engineer you will:

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN connections for multiple clients.
• Use remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve network problems, including WAPs and controllers.
• Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems, and determine solutions.
• Recommend enhancements to the network that will improve the quality, performance, security, and reliability of the network.
• Create and maintain documentation of networks and network systems.
• Follow project methodologies to complete assigned tasks.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years progressive experience in networking.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, ASA, Firepower, Fortinet, and F5.
• Experience with route/switch, security, wireless, etc., and associated professional level support. Certifications desired.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with monitoring and management of SD‑WAN solutions.
