Amazon is hiring a Network Engineer to join its Corporate Infrastructure Services (CIS) Office Infrastructure Deployment (OID) team in Cebu. The role supports turn-ups of new corporate offices, post-occupancy projects, and lifecycle hardware/software refreshes. You will work with global teams remotely and at the Cebu office.

The position emphasizes collaboration with AWS Networking, IT Services, TPMs, and LVCs, with formal training opportunities throughout the year to advance technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years enterprise network experience as technician or engineer.

We are currently hiring for a Network Engineer to work within our Corporate Infrastructure Services (CIS) business unit. The role is part of the Office Infrastructure Deployment (OID) team that is a follow-the-sun global team of network infrastructure deployment engineers that works on the turn-up of new Amazon corporate offices, post-occupancy projects like office expansions or decommissions, life cycle replacement projects (hardware & software refreshes) and strategic security networking initiatives that will impact and touch every Amazon employee working in a corporate office environment.

All of OID’s work is executed remotely and you will collaborate with other teams within Amazon like AWS Networking, IT Services, Technical Program Managers and Low Voltage Contractors (LVC’s). The role will require you to work from our corporate office in Cebu, Philippines.

Key job responsibilities

• Create and implement configuration changes on the network, during scheduled change management windows.

• Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configurations.

• Collaborate with our partners within Amazon like AWS Networking, IT Services, Technical Program Managers and Low Voltage Contractors (LVC’s) to deploy changes.

• Create and review documentation and process regarding network implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.

Basic Qualifications

• BS/BE/BTech in Information Systems, Computer Science or other Engineering disciplines or similar relevant educational background.

• 3+ years of enterprise experience as a technician or engineer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a network engineer in a corporate office environment, experience with physical infrastructure installations and basic troubleshooting skills.

• Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers and Switches as well as an understanding of common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF)

• Experience working with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls and deploying or supporting Cisco wireless network equipment.

• Basic scripting/programming with Python (preferred) and fundamental knowledge in version control (preferably Git Framework).

• CCNA or equivalent level networking certification
