Job summary

Insight is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Cato to join our Pasig City team on a full-time basis, working the night shift. You will design, implement, and manage secure network solutions using Cato platforms to support our operations around the clock.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with Cato Networks (MUST HAVE)
• Proven expertise in network security and firewall technologies
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and network architecture principles
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark or NetFlow analysers
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions and hybrid network environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for night shifts
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Cato-specific certifications are desirable
• Ability to work flexible hours including night shifts, weekends, and on-call support

About the role

Insight is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer - Cato to join our team on a full-time basis, working the night shift. Based in Pasig City, Metro Manila, this role is pivotal in maintaining and optimising our network infrastructure using Cato platforms. As a Network Engineer specialising in Cato, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions that support our organisation's operations and growth. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge Cato networking technologies whilst ensuring our systems remain secure, efficient, and reliable around the clock.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions using Cato networking platforms and technologies
• Monitor network performance and security using Cato tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime and service quality
• Configure and manage network devices through Cato, including firewalls, routers, and switches, whilst adhering to industry best practices
• Provide technical support to internal teams and stakeholders, troubleshooting Cato-related network issues and implementing solutions promptly
• Conduct regular security assessments using Cato capabilities and ensure network compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
• Document Cato network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain accurate and comprehensive records
• Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and execute Cato network upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities
• Stay current with emerging Cato technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of network infrastructure
• Respond to network incidents during night shift hours, providing timely resolution and escalation when necessary

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience with Cato Networks (MUST HAVE)
• Proven expertise in network security and firewall technologies, with demonstrated hands‑on experience implementing Cato solutions
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and network architecture principles
• Hands‑on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, NetFlow analysers, or equivalent platforms
• Familiarity with cloud‑based networking solutions and hybrid network environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently during night shift operations
• Strong communication and documentation skills to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Cato‑specific certifications are highly desirable
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and on‑call support as required
• A proactive approach to professional development and staying informed of Cato innovations and industry trends
