The role requires a degree in Graphic Design and 3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, plus strong typography and layout skills. You will work closely with marketing, events, and production teams to deliver timely assets.

JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer supports the development and delivery of creative design, layout and production of a range of promotional assets to support the client’s internal and external marketing campaigns. This includes high quality design and maintenance of collateral across all digital channels, the client’s publications and printed material.

The role also includes leveraging digital and AI tools relevant to the position to streamline work, improve outcomes, and support data-informed decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Marketing deliverables and concept development

• Work with Marketing and the external digital agency to deliver on incoming briefs and requests, and translate them into creative, design, and brand assets across campaigns, advertising, and promotional activities.


• Develop creative design concepts, graphics, and layouts for marketing and student assets, such as but not limited to online banners, videos, infographics, brochures, e-books, email communications, and brand templates.


• Work cross-functionally to understand briefs and develop creative concepts for stakeholders that address their requirements.


• Ensure all concepts are on brand and fit for platform.

Social Media

• Support idea generation for social media posts and campaigns.


• Create design templates and develop the content for publishing across platforms in line with the social calendar and brand guidelines for each platform, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Design Event Deliverables

• Provide design assistance to event coordinators to ensure graphics, labels, signage, promotional items, printed material, and other visual communications are readily available, aligned with the brand and delivered to schedule.

Brand

• Ensure adherence to the brand guidelines across the business by managing all aspects of branding assets and templates.


• Provide training to staff required to utilise brand templates and/or design assets for student and external communication.


• Develop design templates to drive efficiency for Marketing and other staff within the client, ensuring brand is maintained.

Design Check

• Monitor and administer regular design and content quality checks to ensure relevancy and accuracy of information and brand representation.

Production, Administration and AI use

• Manage tasks and activity progress to ensure timely delivery of projects and priorities.


• Utilise AI to drive efficiency in everyday design tasks.


• Manage the production and printing process through delivery, including formatting, and sizing of creative files, and images.


• Manage design folder structures, ensuring working files, drafts and final assets are saved in a timely and easy to access manner.

Design Assistance

• Assist with additional design in marketing and event related tasks, if required.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, or related field.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ Years experience as a graphic designer in a marketing team or agency environment.


• Fully skilled in use of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Figma, and Illustrator.


• Demonstrated evidence of creative and graphic design outcomes across both online and offline, in print and video.


• Demonstrated evidence of creative concept development for use in advertising campaigns, marketing and business assets.


• Experience with producing videos for social media, online advertising and mass media use.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to understand the principles of layout, typography, colour, photography, and art direction.


• Ability to interpret design briefs and make recommendations throughout concept development and the design phase.


• Creative flair.


• Sound knowledge of design, marketing, and branding principles.

• Experience with shared project management and organisation tools such as Trello, Monday, Hive or Asana etc.
