The Cyberbacker Careers team is seeking an entry-level Payroll & Tax Associate to support multi-state payroll operations and handle basic tax filings using QuickBooks. You will ensure accurate wage calculations, timely tax deposits, and compliant payroll processing under federal and state rules.

In this role you will process regular payrolls, manage tax payments and filings, maintain employee tax setups, reconcile liabilities, and assist with year-end W-2s, while addressing employee inquiries

Qualificações

• 1+ year of experience in payroll processing and basic payroll tax administration.
• Familiarity with FLSA rules and multi-state withholding concepts.
• Knowledge of payroll tax schedules and basic compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Process regular payrolls in QuickBooks Payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring correct calculations for overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Calculate and submit federal, state, and local payroll taxes (including Forms 941, 940, and state unemployment returns) through QuickBooks.
• Maintain accurate employee tax setups (W-4s, state withholdings), reconcile payroll liability accounts, and assist with year-end W-2 processing.
• Assist in resolving agency notices, respond to employee paycheck inquiries, and audit time tracking data.
