Most of this role is directly related to important scheduled maintenance, reactive maintenance, and responding to system alerts and monitoring events. This is important work to keep central infrastructure working effectively, which underpins our entire service delivery.
This role will suit someone who enjoys regular maintenance tasks, maintaining the quality and safety of systems, troubleshooting more complex escalated issues, and occasionally supporting the service desk when required.
Shift Schedule: (4x11) Monday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 9:00 AM PHT
Salary: Php 90,000 - 110,000 + Night Differential (salary is negotiable depending on experience)
Job Description:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, first time, every time using plain English
- Deliver maintenance solutions that optimise performance of clients (and internal) IT equipment and infrastructure.
- Identify any associated risks with planned maintenance work/alerts, and contribute to plans to remove or mitigate such risks
- Ensure compliance with internal change management processes
- Work within Service Level Agreement (SLA) contractual timescales, to ensure that all customer maintenance tasks are carried out successfully.
- Troubleshoot IT issues and problem solve effectively from owning the request, diagnosis, escalations and following up; aiming for high, first time fix resolution and personal stretch and challenge.
Typical Tasks
Maintenance tasks in this role can include, but are not limited to:
- Identify any failed scheduled back-ups and take remedial action to rectify, as well as reporting any failures
- Software patching of workstations and servers
- Patching of critical network devices
- Monitoring systems installation, repair & ongoing configuration compliance
- Vulnerability scanning & remediation
- Application patching
- Security software agent installations, checks, fixes & updates
- Identifying and escalating to any incidents or requests where further support is required
- Contributing to knowledge-based articles and wider knowledge share through internal channels
- Handling escalations from Level 1 team, including advanced troubleshooting

Skills Needed:

- Experience working in an IT Technical Support environment – minimum 2 years
- Experience in –Windows Server 2003-2022, Windows 10, Office, DNS/DHCP, Networking basics Inc. LAN/WAN, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Administration & Troubleshooting, Exchange, VMWare
- Advanced Windows Patching & Automation (scripting)
- Working knowledge of Citrix
- Effective team working – understanding of wider priorities and dependencies
- Able to work in a sometimes fast paced environment
- Able to do the right thing, at the right time
- First class skills with record keeping and documentation
- Ability to work within Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
