Global Roles seeks a MERL Officer to support a multi-year project addressing human trafficking, online exploitation, and child protection. You will lead monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities to improve programs and strengthen accountability for children and youth protection.

Responsibilities include conducting baselines, midlines, and endlines; data collection and reporting; and building capacity of staff and partners in MERL processes to achieve donor targets and program

Formación

• Degree in a relevant field is required.
• At least 5 years of development experience.
• Minimum 3 years in research, monitoring and evaluation, planning, or community programs.
• Experience designing and implementing assessments, surveys, and studies.
• Strong data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management skills.
• Experience with NGOs, communities, local governments, and development partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with participatory, gender-responsive, and child-centered approaches is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Lead project monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities across implementation areas.

• Manage project data, databases, and timely reporting.
• Prepare and consolidate donor and partner reports for leadership.

The MERL Officer supports a multi-year project addressing human trafficking, Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, and Child, Early and Forced Marriages and Unions. The role involves leading monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities to improve programs and strengthen accountability for children and youth protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead project monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities across implementation areas.
• Conduct baseline, midline, and endline studies, assessments, and data collection activities.
• Track project progress and ensure activities are aligned with agreed targets and results.
• Manage project data, maintain databases, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and consolidate reports for donors, partners, and project leadership.
• Facilitate learning reviews and recommend improvements based on findings and feedback.
• Build the capacity of staff and partners on monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in development work.
• At least 3 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, project planning, or community development programs.
• Experience designing and implementing assessments, surveys, and research studies.
• Strong skills in data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management.
• Experience working with NGOs, communities, local governments, and development partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
