Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or related technical course.
• Experience in mold design for plastic packaging.
• Familiar with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of plastic molding processes and tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop molds, dies, and tooling for plastic packaging products.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mold designs, drawings, and specs using CAD.
• Ensure mold designs suit molding processes and production requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Quality Control on mold development.
• Conduct mold design reviews and propose solutions for defects.
• Assist in mold testing, trials, troubleshooting, and design adjustments.
• Monitor mold performance to minimize downtime, waste, and defects.
• Maintain documentation of mold designs, revisions, drawings, records.
• Ensure designs comply with company standards, safety, and specifications.
