Job summary

East West Banking Corporation is seeking an experienced Model Risk Management Team Lead in Taguig, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on enterprise-wide ownership of the bank's model risk framework, ensuring timely escalation and governance across quantitative and judgment-based models.

The candidate will align with BSP guidelines, Basel standards, ICAAP, stress testing, and risk appetite statements while embedding risk insights into strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree is an advantage for senior leadership.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance policy and framework aligned with BSP Basel standards and ERM.
• Define governance standards for model lifecycle, materiality, risk classifications.
• Maintain centralized model inventory with ownership, purpose, lifecycle, risk tiering.
• Aggregate model info to identify concentrations and dependencies across ICAAP/stress tests.
• Translate findings into enterprise risk views for Senior Management and Board.
• Oversee validation governance and timely escalation per risk appetite.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for Senior Management and Board oversight.
